Colette G. Satterfield, 91, of Trussville passed away on September 18, 2024. Ms. Satterfield retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after many years of service. She was a member of the Day to Day Living Class at Northpark Baptist Church. Colette loved doing activities with her grandchildren and family. Her favorite pastimes were watching her humming birds, reading, gardening and working in the yard and also watching old westerns on TV.

Colette was preceded in death by her parents, Dovie Lee and Daniel Floyd Grady, three brothers, Robert Doyle Grady, Daniel Lee Grady and Egbert Elvis Grady; two sisters, Gatra Ophelia Watkins and Virginia Melvina O’Neil and several nieces and nephews.
Colette is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Thigpen, Paula (Dwight) Sutherland; three grandchildren, Chris (Erin) Ashmead, Matthew Thigpen, Sydney Thigpen; two great-grandchildren, Colton Ashmead and Abigail Ashmead; also numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
There was a visitation on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. There was a Chapel service at 2:00pm at the funeral home where Ray Walker officiated. Burial followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
